We Request More Than Just CAIPS / GCMS and FOSS Files!Spousal Visa FilesIf you have applied for your spouse to receive a permanent resident visa, you can use our services to request your spouse's immigration records using our CAIPS FileCheck service - the procedure is exactly the same as for a standard CAIPS / GCMS request, just download and use our standard CAIPS FileCheck Application Kit. CIC consider the immigration file to be your spouse's (he/she is the 'principal applicant, and you are the 'sponsor') so it is crucial that you provide a consent form completed and signed by your spouse. We recommend that you also sign the form yourself (put yourself in the spouse fields!) as your spouse's file is likely to refer to you. If you have any questions about your spouse's CAIPS / GCMS file, please contact us at help@caips.ca and we will do our utmost to assist you. Entire Immigration FileWe can also assist you in obtaining a copy of your entire (hard copy) immigration file - this will include any CAIPS / FOSS / GCMS file related to your case as well as a complete copy of your hard copy immigration file held by the CIC office dealing with your case. As your file has to be physically photocopied by someone in the local office and then the copies sent to CIC in Ottawa to send on to us, this procedure usually takes 8-10 weeks in total. |
